@RedKoshimaki059 years ago "I'm giving the people what they want"? No, sweetheart, you're not going to get away with it like that. What we want isn't 35 seconds of coronation, what we want is a three hours Loki movie. 3554

@LEEyring9 years ago I noticed all of the women have Frigga's hairstyle. Either in Loki's mind, all women have to live up to his mother's standards... or the Asgardians simply like to copycat the Queen. 3367

@StarRoseAngelic9 years ago Wow, am I the only one that sees this scene as pretty sad? All along I thought the "fur scene" was basically Loki rubbing it in Odin's (conquered) face that he now had control over everything he always believed to be his (i.e the throne and the people of Asgard). But instead we have him, foiled and defeated, completely content in living out his fantasies through casting himself in one of his own illusions. And in this fantasy he has no malicious intent, no desire of forced world domination. Instead all he wants is to be admired, applauded, and loved. I think this is why Loki's character gets so much attention from fans. Because, despite his violent and twisted actions, it's hard to ignore how pitiable a character he is. ... 4436

@scarredxangel8 years ago Marvel...please...Give us a Loki movie! Do not bring out the "we don't think he's popular enough" bullshit, cause you know it's a lie. Same with Black Widow and stop deleting Loki scenes. 3942

@theexcalibur95619 years ago Frigga: "Cast enough illusions and you risk forgetting what is real"

Dang, even without all the proper voice acting that was an incredibly powerful scene. Why the heck was it left out of the movie? ...

@gothamsrogue1499 years ago Ironic how the best scene in the movie wasn't even IN the movie. The feel and atmosphere in this 2 minute scene is just so great, not only the bit with Loki which was terrific, and made me feel bad for him, but also the beginning with that quick little exploration of Asgard. I don't understand how they could delete something as glorious as this, and leave scenes like the ones with Jane and her date, Darcy and her intern, etc. Just who the hell edited this movie and thought it was a good idea to delete a scene with Loki? ... 886

@keidangoins93649 years ago Does anyone else get really sad whenever he says "Precisely?" That tone of voice and his expression. It's heartbreaking.
Also I think this was a fair time to release this scene. It's over a year before we'll see Ragnarok, and with the Civil War hype up people who are mainly fans of Loki will be feeling a little upset that their favorite character hasn't appeared in anything in two years. Good job Marvel. Good job. ...

@tranqle737 years ago It’s interesting how in Loki’s own fantasies, he doesn’t spend any time dreaming about getting revenge on the Warriors Three or Sif- In fact, it seems he’d rather have them appreciate him than simply killing them off.
Loki would rather be friends with the warriors three than be their enemy.
I find this small detail honestly my favorite in this scene. No scenes of revenge- just him getting along with everyone, because that’s what matters to him most.

@catwitch24796 years ago The saddest thing about this is that his biggest fantasy is basically being Thor, by having Mjolnir and being loved by everyone. All this time it’s been led to believe that Loki is just ambitious and he wants to be king but it’s clear from this cut scene that what he wants isn’t for him to be just the monarch, it’s for him to literally become his older brother and have all the glory which suggests that he’s not content with his own life, and it honestly breaks my heart that he values himself so little bc when he imagines himself as King he dreams of being like Thor and not as himself
    Poor Loki 😞

  • @
@tmar29339 years ago See what Loki really wants is a chance to prove his worth, the same chance Odin gave Thor. Tragically he always goes about it the wrong way. Dammit MCU why delete this? 219
  • @
@ShadowriderSeth9 years ago THAT SCENE IS SO IMPORTANT WHY WOULD IT BE DELETED?!?!?! I know that everybody knows Loki just wants to be king, but I think actually showing his desire and the fact that it's in his head would have added a lot of character development and brought people to understand his struggles even more. ... 152

@riverbedflower74989 years ago And the sad thing in the end is, that Loki would have made a much better king than Odin and Thor put together. Odin is crazy, to begin with. Someone who cannot be a good father, cannot be a good king. And even without going into the horrible parenting he did with Loki, Thor didn't turn out so noble until was forced to find the right way on his own. So that's that for Odin. And Thor is all reasonable and heroic now but I think we can all agree, he's not as wickedly intelligent as Loki. Intelligence like his, with noble intentions... Asgard would be one happy place for give or take five thousand years. ... 332
  • @
@Chris-ln7tr7 years ago This scene does a really good job at showing the reality of Loki's character, it makes me really sad they cut it. It would have helped more people understand that he doesn't really want to be evil, he just wants to be loved and he doesn't know how to get that. ... 15

@cutelilscrafty9 years ago So dramatic. That's why I love Loki. 28
  • @
@mapsandviolins17 years ago A scene that showcases Loki's desire for approval and admiration. Unfortunately, one doesn't get that popular by doing the things Loki has done in the way he has done them. A dramatic redemption is certainly possible, but given his trend as a character his chances at such a reception in life are slim.
Asgard did a terrible job of making her younger prince feel accepted - even servants felt they could chuckle at jokes at his expense in his presence (according to a deleted scene in the first Thor film). And yet, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent. Loki's gifts are not popularity, extroversion, and strength. His gifts are subtlety, scholarliness, and control. He looks kind of ridiculous in this little daydream, with his red cape and hefting of Mjolnir. Hammers don't suit him at all. It's like he's trying to be something he simply is not, and there are at least two angles to that hangup of his. While Asgard is responsible for how she treated Loki, Loki is still responsible for accepting who he is as a Frost Giant and as, well, Loki.
    I love Tom Hiddleston's portrayal. It's a great character.

It's very good to see him playing and smiling even if it is all just a fantasy, I just want him to be happy though, it hurts so much to see him in pain :'(

@daniellamaria58875 years ago This is so sad, all he ever wanted was recognition and love and because he was brought up to believe that he was a dangerous and hideous monster, he felt even more isolated than he did when he was constantly being overshadowed by Thor. He just wants to be worthy, not necessarily worthy of Mjolnir, just a worthy son, brother and leader. All he needed was care and support 🖤💚🖤 ... 6

@doomswoman19 years ago I love this! On one hand, its very sad, Loki living out his fantasies in his prison. But on the other hand, I've been told that people in solitary confinement can frequently go insane. Perhaps this is 'his' way of keeping madness at bay, but as Frigga says, it might lead to yet another kind of insanity. Too many illusions and he may 'never' get out.... ... 10
