Unrest in Portland is ultimately about the 'looming presidential election'

Daily Telegraph columnist Miranda Devine says every single thing that happens in America at the moment is ultimately about the upcoming US presidential election, which is now only 100-days away. Ms Devine told Sky News host Chris Kenny in the Democrat cities "where you're seeing all this unrest," citizens simply want President Trump out. She said these people continue to "go on hating Trump" as violence and unrest continues to escalate. She also continued to say presumptive nominee Joe Biden "is not much of a candidate". "He really is not all there". Mr Kenny said the protests in the US cities of Portland, Oregon, Seattle and Washington, in particular "are a real worry". "They show a terrible fracturing in US society, people are getting hurt and there is a very clear political dimension to it all," he said. Image: AP
