Namibia Trade Forum in collaboration with the Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade and with support from the UNDP in Namibia launched its first Namibia’s AfCFTA awareness campaign. The campaign aims to sensitize its stakeholders, private sector, women in trade and the youth on the opportunities available in the AfCFTA. . Namibia ought to fully take advantage of the AfCFTA agreement as this provides market access for our good and services, supporting the economic transformation. The UNDP Resident Representative to Namibia Alka Bhatia encouraged Namibians to actively participate, connect to markets and recognise our competitive advantage as Namibia. She highlighted that the UNDP as a development partner is here to support Namibia's implementation process of the AfCFTA. Our keynote speaker, Deputy Minister of Industrialisation and Trade Hon. Verna Sinimbo emphasized the importance of awareness and information dissemination, and stressed that it is imperative for the Namibian business community to prepare and take full advantage of the benefits offered under the AfCFTA.
