If there is a difference for me, it is that stevie for example, the last song on in step, which was entitled " riveriastevie seemed to be developing into maybe more of a jazz-rock fusion type of player. in the end, van halen, sadly was more about the drama rather than the music. Thething got really tiring after a while. finally, it really is unfair to compare, because they were both unique and different. Lucky for us, both artists' music will live forever. ...Expand

Eddie is an amazing second runner srv can solo and carry a show. Eddie eventually needs a band to fill in. Srv is the turtle. Eddie the hare. srv is grit and sweat - eddie is simpler to learn. I started playing his style at 13. And to this day have a hard time not breaking fingers to srv. but eddie is amazing. But this is how it plays out. Ask a guitarist and they will tell you.
