The National Weather Service predicted a 180-degree shift in wind direction for Monday night through Wednesday. Pressure building over the Great Basin was expected to generate offshore winds late Monday through Wednesday afternoon, according to the Weather Service. Northeast to east winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph were expected for passes and canyons Tuesday. Video by Guy McCarthy
