A strain gauge is a primary transducer used for the measurement of physical quantities such as displacement, force, pressure etc.It is operates on the principle of 'Piezoresistive effect'. For signal conditioning, a Wheatstone bridge is used, so that we get an output in the form of voltage. There are two important parameters associated with a strain gauge :- 1. Poisson's Ratio 2. Gauge Factor Check out the videos in the playlists below (regularly updated): Sensors, Transducers and Instrumentation : /playlist/PLVsrfTSlZ_40qYhVeqtLiNhnQ_40IfOyM Computer Networking and Data Communication : /playlist/PLVsrfTSlZ_41sVuPKkqkJhScuGLSXD3OX Communication Systems : /playlist/PLVsrfTSlZ_40gwALy13YbKhA1b-3wU_HM Circuit Theory : /playlist/PLVsrfTSlZ_43exlsf1BEqQ7STBKZLUrFk Analog Electronics : /playlist/PLVsrfTSlZ_40L5nZcdOAEZGuw2W4z8THi Digital Electronics : /playlist/PLVsrfTSlZ_43NSnEr2WedLmPcUPdNCWVz Engineering Mathematics : /playlist/PLVsrfTSlZ_43iewaoYeWjbT6Tm2ZtcfnX Control Systems : /playlist/PLVsrfTSlZ_414rPOeyJLIsbdU974YfK7o
