The production line was launched in the presence of Iran's Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Reza Rahmani رضا رحماني, head of Iran-Khodro Company (IKCO شركت ايران خودرو) Farshad Moghimi فرشاد مقيمي, Deputy Parliament Speaker Masoud Pezeshkian مسعود پزشكيان, and some officials of East Azarbaijan province on Thursday. In the year of 'Surge in Production', named by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Euro 4-compliant 457 diesel engines and Euro 5-EEV 355 diesel engines have been manufactured for the first time by Iranian specialists in I.D.E.M Company of Tabriz. These engines play an important role in the surge in the production and prosperity of the Iranian automotive industry. Iran will save 10,000 and 5,000 euros by producing each diesel engine of Euro 4-compliant 457 and Euro 5-EEV 355, respectively. IDEM also put Samand سمند vehicle gearbox on production line. On the occasion of International Workers' Day, the Iranian Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Reza Rahmani praised the workers of the I.D.E.M Company by presenting flowers, saying: "87% of car components are produced in East Azarbaijan province."
