Replace VW Heater Channels and Floor Pans in 5 minutes - (Type-3)

Become my Patreon member, get early access: http://duckshit.net This is a one part video only to show the results after a friend/customer dropped off a 1968 VW Squareback for me to replace the heater channels and floors. He provided the new (salvaged) heater channels and some Klassicfab /Gerson green floors. It was a lot of cutting and welding and hammering and tweaking and swearing to get the heater channels to fit correctly. Both the car that the heater channels came off of and this Squareback both have been in some kind of accident at some point so they were pretty far off from fitting properly and needed a lot of help. But in the end, both doors are aligned properly, the floors and heater channels are strong and ready to last this car another 50 years! I pefrormed all of this work without having to do a full on VW body off restoration, rather everything was braced and rebuilt as it sits. VW Beetle Floor Pan Replacement really isn't all that hard. If you've never replaced a VW floor pan this video is for you! First you need to find the VW Floor Pans specific to your year. Once you've got those picked out then you remove the body and cut out the VW floor pan. Once the VW floors are removed, you then clean off any other rust with a wire brush and afterwards with a rust converter and let it sit overnight. The next morning you take your brand new VW floor pans and lay them in position in your chassis. Once you have your vw bug floor pan replacement parts in position, cut off any excess and align them properly. For floor pan replacement VW Beetle it really is that easy!
